Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation is a specialty dedicated to rehabilitation and functional recovery of deficits that are installed after a musculoskeletal, neurological, cardiac, pulmonary, oncological, pediatric injury or condition.

After training aboard at Institut Guttmann neuro-rehabilitation center in Barcelona, ​​at the Center for Rehabilitation Medicine of Alcoitão (CMRA) and at the Center for Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation of the South (CMRSul), Dr. Rui Sales Marques acquired experience in Neurorehabilitation and in Botulinum Toxin Ultrasound guided procedures.

He created the CMRSul Botulinum Toxin ultrasound-guided Injections protocol and he is responsible for these procedures at the Algarve University Hospital Centre.
